Hello everyone!
Our campaign has officially come to a close — and what an incredible journey it’s been.
Steps for Hatay, Solidarity for Education Run 2025 was launched with one heartfelt mission: to help rebuild dreams shattered by the devastating earthquake in Hatay in February 2023. Through collective movement and generosity, we aimed to support students in their pursuit of education — and thanks to all of you, we achieved more than we ever imagined.
Here’s what we accomplished together:
€16,869 raised to support educational efforts in Hatay
43 official participants launched their own fundraising campaigns
583 donations made with compassion and hope
Over 55 people, from children to seniors, joined us at the main run/walk event in Amsterdamse Bos
What made this campaign even more powerful was the involvement of volunteers with large social media reach — their engagement helped us broaden our message and touch new hearts. With such momentum, we were proud to raise our initial fundraising goal — and go far beyond it.
With the donations collected, we will first fund bursaries for 20 students from Hatay for the upcoming academic year. The remaining funds will be used to support our other educational projects from the region.
