Eda Bener Akşam
Chairperson
I was born and raised in Adana, Turkey. I relocated to the Netherlands to pursue a PhD in Molecular Biology. Following that, I dedicated several years to working as a scientist in both academia and the pharmaceutical biotechnology industry in the Netherlands. Since 2022, I have been employed at the Dutch Research Council (NWO) as a Program Coordinator.

I am a legal professional with experience in policy advising, applied academic research, advocacy, and international cooperation, including work with non-governmental organizations and institutions dedicated to children’s rights.

With a background in Economics degree, I relocated to the Netherlands to pursue my master’s degree in Communication. I have experience in consulting and in the banking sector, and currently I work in the data field at a bank in the Netherlands.
